  • The Quantum range of bags comes in 3 designs, dependant on fill weight and intended usage
  • The Quantum Top Bag AR has 200g of down on top and round the foot plug and only a single layer of Quantum fabric on the base. It has a sleeping mat sleeve in the base which will fit a 3/4 or full length mat. The sleeping bag is designed to be used on adventure races, mountain marathons and minimalist backpacking trips in conjunction with an insulating pad that is best cut to the shape of the bag (or for the hard core use bubble wrap!)
  • The Quantum 250 is an ultra lightweight down bag designed for summer backpacking, fast Alpine ascents and mountain marathons. A half length zip and double sliders allow a waist height belay point.
  • The Quantum 400, 600 and 800 are narrow cut bags optimising warmth for minimum weight and include full length side zips with protective baffles on both the zip and round the shoulder. Available in left and right hand zips
  • All Quantum bags use Pertex Quantum® fabric on inner and outer
  • Weather protective Pertex Quantum® Endurance outer available on 250, 400, 600 and 800 options (see quantum endurance range)
  • All Quantum bags are filled with 96% pure white goose down with a fill power of 750+EU/850+US
  • Each bag comes with a stuff sac and cotton storage bag
  • Extra long and short options are available (except for Quantum Top Bag, Q800 and women's bags)

'The Quantum 600 proved excellent. In the igloo the coldest temperature was -10C and I was warm in the Quantum 600, never needing to sleep in any more than a base layer and boxers. I had my old Survival Zone bag (dating from 1995) but didn't need to use it as the igloo was pretty dry with humidity levels around 85%.'

Chris Townsend, ski touring in Yellowstone National Park, January '07.

Quantum Topbag - “Used by every top mountain marathon competitor, this was our chosen sleeping bag when winning the elite course on the Original Mountain Marathon in 2006. The box wall construction eliminates cold spots, making it far warmer than a similar lightweight stitch through bag with down all around.”

Al Powell, Alpine Guides International

Quantum 400 – “It’s well known that Quantum bags offer the best warmth to weight ratio of any sleeping bags in the world. No one else offers lightweight construction filled with such high quality down. I always use the quantum 400 for climbing in Peru, as it’s perfect for lightweight multiday ascents.”

Al Powell, Alpine Guides International

Quantum 600 – “Quantum bags are so much warmer than any other lightweight bags around, such that I’ve happily used the 600 for skiing in Greenland and climbing 6000m peaks in the Himalaya. On both trips it performed brilliantly and it didn’t weight me down either.”

Al Powell, Alpine Guides International
